Hmmmm..seems I have hit a weight plateau. Same weight for 3 days.

Don’t despair! This is a normal part of any weight loss cycle. If you talk to most people who have lost a significant amount of weight and reached their goal, they have likely experienced 2-3 weight loss plateaus.

It’s important to understand the leaner you become the slower the weight loss will be. The desired changes are occurring, and within a few days or a few weeks weight loss will resume at a normal healthy pace.

Well, it’s 11 am and I just made the Spiced Apple and Carrot Juice and it’s awesome.  It’s in the fridge and once cooled, I’ll add the recommended cinnamon and nutmeg.  Even without those two, it tastes great.  It’s funny what can excite you after the same juice for 3 weeks lol.

1 pm and I’ve waited long enough lol. I just added the pinches of cinnamon and nutmeg and wow! It’s quite sweet tasting and I wonder what my blood sugars will be like in two hours 🙂  Whatever they are, I think I just found my favorite juice!

3 pm – Sugar levels stable. This makes me happy 🙂

Mean Green JuiceJust finished juicing up 8 batches of mean green. Good for another 2 days 🙂 I’m going to research some other juices to see the benefits and potentially nice flavours. Open to new suggestions.

Almost done 3 weeks. One more week and I’m already 1/2 the way in my reboot.

OK, today and I went and bought some tumeric.  That’s a first for me.  I’m thinking of trying a Spiced Apple and Carrot Juice tomorrow, just to switch things up 🙂

  • 3 large carrots
  • 2 apples
  • 2 celery sticks
  • 1 (1/2 inch) knob fresh ginger
  • ¼ inch fresh turmeric (optional)
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 tiny pinch nutmeg

Juice fastingHi everyone (anyone?). Thursday morning here and I’m feeling great.  I have a little bit of a concern regarding my heart rate. When i test my blood glucose and my blood pressure, I also test my resting heart rate.  I’ve been testing since I started this juicing and I’ve noticed my rate is always below 60. This morning it was at 49.  What I’ve read is that this is great if I’m an athlete, which I’m not. I then found this article about a disease called brachycardia which is all about having a low heart rate.  This made me think of my late father who had a pacemaker for the last 20 years or so of his life, due to a low heart rate. Apparently this is also hereditary.

I spoke with my cousin, a nurse, who assures me that since my bp seems normal, not to worry too much about it. Especially since I’ve had a huge change in diet. I have an appointment for next week Friday with my doctor – I guess I’ll see what he has to say. This might also mean I can lower my blood pressure medication.

Hit the magic 25 lbs. today – next goal is 30 which may happen this weekend!  Feeling great and just juiced another batch.  I have enough for 2 days which is good as I am in Victoria for the day tomorrow and wanted to take several mason jars with me in the cooler.

yoga2In about 1 hour I start my first yoga class.  Nervous about this as my last attempt was a disaster after I cleared the room with a rather noxious fart. Wish me luck.  Actually, wish the class luck lol.

juice high energyGood morning everyone. It continues to amaze me that my energy levels are so high.  I was always a night person, staying up until 12 midnight, 1 or 2 am and then having a hard time getting out of bed before 8 or 9 am. Since starting this reboot, I’ve been going to bed 11 pm or 11:30, sometimes as late as midnight, and usually bouncing out of bed at 7:30 am or even earlier!

Today my friend Laura will be bringing over the bowl cleanse product. I’m quite exited to try this and hope I finally get some relief.  I’ve added two boiled eggs to my morning in an effort to boost my protein levels. Weight stayed the same today, but if the trend continues, I will be down another 1 or 2 lbs. tomorrow.

I CAN SEE MY TOES!!

Two weeks of juices only and I am down 24 lbs. I am 1/4 of the way in my 60 day fast!

constipationOverall, doing well.  Still horribly constipated.  I have my friend coming by tomorrow with the “Herb Cocktail Colon Cleanse”, but I couldn’t wait. Last night I took 4 senokot tablets to try and move things today.  Aside from the belly discomfort (tension), I still feel hungry a lot of the time. It’s Sunday today, and I plan to mostly rest (no work) and walk my dog.
